ABOUT US

Welcome to Festivue Farm

A small family-run farm.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Somerset, just outside Pilton near Glastonbury—home to the world-famous music festival. Our farm has been a part of this landscape for nearly a century, with a rich history rooted in tradition, community, and a deep connection to the land.

Our story began in the 1920s when Ty’s great-grandfather, John Williams, purchased Cockmill Croft Farm after moving from Blakes Farm in Oakhill. Since then, generations of the Williams family have farmed this land, dedicating themselves to producing high-quality food while cherishing the natural beauty of Somerset.

Although the original farmhouse was sold in 2002, the land remained in the family, and Festivue Farm was born. Today, we steward 72 acres of farmland here and an additional 5 acres of mostly SSSI land near Oakhill, carrying forward a proud legacy of sustainable farming practices.

Our family history is rich with stories of resilience and passion. During World War II, Stuart Williams—fondly known as Jeff—served his country before returning to farm alongside his brothers at Cockmill Croft. Over the years, the family became well-known in the community for their butter, cider, and other local produce. Artistic talent also ran in the family, with Stanley Williams earning awards for his paintings of farm life, showcasing the beauty of our heritage.

Today, Festivue Farm embodies that same dedication, blending tradition with innovation. We’re passionate about regenerative agriculture, environmental stewardship, and ethical animal care, believing that all can thrive together through thoughtful management.

“I have fond memories as a child helping my uncles bring in the sheep, playing in the ford, and riding a battered moped across the fields. This land holds something truly special, and we’re committed to preserving it for future generations. From soil health to animal welfare, every aspect of our farm is guided by care and respect, and we hope you’ll taste that dedication in everything we produce.”

At Festivue Farm, we honor our past while looking to the future, sharing the fruits of our labor with a deep commitment to sustainability and quality.

Hay from Festivue Farm

Traditional small bale hay

At Festivue Farm, we take pride in producing traditional small bale hay from our own pastures in the picturesque countryside of North Somerset. Our hay is crafted with care to ensure it remains as natural as possible, free from fertilisers, sprays, and pesticides. This makes it a wholesome choice for horses, smallholders, and farmers who value quality and sustainability.

For over a century, the fields at Cockmill have been carefully grazed by sheep and cattle, enriching the soil and producing high-quality meadow hay that sustained our animals through harsh winters. This tradition of thoughtful land stewardship continues today, ensuring our hay maintains its exceptional standard.

Additionally, our land near Oakhill is part of a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), recognised for its rare and diverse flora. This unique ecosystem contributes to highly palatable and nutrient-rich hay, with a variety of plant fibre structures that animals love.

Whether you're looking for feed that’s rich in history, nature, or simply excellent quality, our hay is the perfect choice. It reflects our commitment to regenerative agriculture and our passion for preserving the land for future generations.
